My client is currently looking for a permanent payroll officer to join their team. The role will be responsible for processing a monthly in-house payroll from start to finish. Due to time frames our client is looking for someone on a shorter notice period to allow time for a detailed handover. Duties to include: * Processing end to end payroll using Payrite and Sage. * Dealing with complex payroll queries. * Payroll reconciliations. * Pension submissions. * There will also be an opportunity to get involved with various upcoming projects. We are working with a leading provider of Healthcare Service solutions, currently seeking a Payroll Manager on the basis of a 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover).Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Payroll Manager will work closely with Finance and HR teams and provide guidance and support to one direct report. Duties of the role include, but are not limited to: * Leading, motivating, and overseeing data entry of the HR & Payroll Officer. * Taking full responsibility for a monthly, fully in-house payroll. * Manage on-boarding of employees via TUPE and transfer out of employees via the same process. * Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation. * Manage the Payrolling of Benefits process - communication with employees across the business. * Reconcile external payments to benefit and pensions suppliers. * Maintain the IRIS Cascade system - creating and updating templates, workflows, processes, and screens where necessary. Portfolio are currently supporting a client within the education sector who are sourcing for a permanent Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the HR department on a part time basis, approximately 25 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate).This role is to be the key interface between the external payroll and pensions provider and the employees.You will support the HR team with the day-to-day inputting and checking of payroll-related information such as new starters, leavers, variations, maternity pay, etc, ensuring the prompt and accurate payment of employees in line with payroll deadlines and HMRC regulations. You will be required to create and maintain employee records and associated PAYE and pension information, and you will be competent in creating and analysing reports from downloaded data, therefore you will possess excellent spreadsheet skills and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in your work.You will assist with internal pay and pension queries from staff and managers and be both solution and customer focused as you seek resolution from external agencies such as our payroll provider and our key pension providers West Midlands LGPS and Teachers' Pensions. You will therefore need to be knowledgeable in keys aspects of payroll and pension administration, with excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise your workload and be able to work on your own initiative to achieve the required deadlines.
