This role will be working in partnership with the whole People & Engagement Team. Sitting alongside the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for the administration of payroll and taking responsibility for each new starter. Looking for a candidate who can be a great team player with a previous experience in the payroll sector. The payroll will be growing and changing over the course of the next few years therefore the person will need to be able to adapt and bring knowledge and ideas to the team. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB: * Assisting in the processing of the 5 UK monthly payrolls * Work closely with the team to ensure that new starters are onboarded timely * Collate and input Payroll data changes into the payroll system * Checking Payroll and HR changes have been entered accurately into the payroll system * Checking Statutory Absence Calculations * Spot Checking Tax and National Insurance Deductions * Checking for National Minimum Wage Compliance * Communicate with clients (Staff) and other departments within the company to ensure data accuracy * Production of monthly reports and any other ad hoc reports as required * Month end processes to include RTI, Auto enrolment and HMRC legislative changes * Answering of payroll queries * Assist with the processing of third-party payments * Pension Data input to the various pension schemes * Up Keep of employee benefits (CCV / C2W / Tech Scheme) PERSON SPECIFICATION: * Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation * Previous experience of using payroll software solutions, ideally Midland HR iTrent. * Attention to detail * Self-Motivated to work at home * Excellent organisational and time management skills * Microsoft Office product literate, particularly Excel * Work as part of a team * Confident and clear communicator * Excellent customer service * Positive can-do attitude * The ability to explain tax calculations in simple terms Take ownership of tasks and see through to completion 970012LWINDPAYS
